Berries and Blooms From Our Home to Yours

At Inverleith Farm & Gardens, we believe in the power of small, sustainable, and meaningful steps.

While we have not officially launched, our journey is well underway. We are diligently working to cultivate the finest selection of raspberries, blackberries, blueberries, and peonies, ensuring that every plant thrives.

Our Journey Begins…

Starting a farm is no small feat. Because of this, we are embracing the process with patience and care. By focusing on the long-term success of Inverleith Farm & Gardens, we are laying a strong foundation that will support our goals for years to come.

Building Our Bountiful Collection

At Inverleith Farm & Gardens, we are committed to cultivating a diverse and thriving collection of blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, peonies and other perennials. We understand that quality takes time, and many of these plants require years to truly establish and flourish.

Since 2022 we have invested in expanding our collection every year, carefully balancing our growth within our means. We believe that if our practices are not financially sustainable, then it is not possible for us to be truly sustainable.

The Historic McKinney House

Situated in the picturesque area of Rideau Lakes, the McKinney House (our home) stands as a prominent historical landmark in Lombardy ON. Built in 1856, this two-storey stone farm house holds significant heritage value in the region.

By integrating the historical essence of the McKinney House into our farming practices, we aim to honour the legacy of this beautiful property. We are committed to restoring and preserving the property, inside and out, for generations to come.

Inspiration for Our Name: Inverleith

The name ‘Inverleith’ holds a special place in our hearts and encapsulates the essence of our vision for Inverleith Farm & Gardens. Having visited Scotland several times, we found profound inspiration at the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh, located in the borough of Inverleith.

This beautiful garden, with its expansive and meticulously curated collections, sparked our dream of creating our own diverse gardens here in Ontario.

Sustainability is a journey, not a destination. We embrace continuous improvement with the goal of building a more sustainable and resilient farm. That’s why we are focused on progression, not perfection.
